I designed the visual identity and also made illustrations for the Amnesty International Brazill campaign Nossas Vidas Importam (Our Lives Matter). The campaign, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, warns Brazilian authorities that nobody should be left behind in the response to the crisis. I created illustrations to represent populations that face greater risks of adverse impact from the pandemic: people living in favelas, Indigenous peoples, people deprived of their liberty, members of Afro-descendant communities, health professionals, workers in the informal sector, women and older people living in institutions such as care homes.
Federal, state and municipal authorities must take concrete and urgent steps to minimize the grave impacts of COVID-19 on marginalized populations.
